Erchonia Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser, used for the purpose of increasing healing potential, traces its roots back to the early 1970s. Since then, over 1,900 research articles have been published describing the beneficial effects and increased healing potential of this modality. In 1996, Erchonia Medical Inc. was created and quickly established itself as the industry leader in research and technological advances in this field. In 2002, the Erchonia PL-5000 was the first Low Level Laser to receive FDA clearance for the treatment of neck pain. Currently, the FDA is reviewing several studies indicating increased bone healing following fracture and increased wound healing with the use of Low Level Laser Therapy.
Some of the researched* beneficial effects of cold laser are:
Accelerated and improved wound healing
Decrease in pain intensity
Increased ATP production/cellular activity
Increased micro-circulation of blood
Reduced free-radical production and accumulation
Increased protein synthesis
